Profilo personale: Paula Grace Heithaus

This first semester 2026-27 English practice course has two groups, Group A and Group B (see timetable below), each consisting of 2 weekly lessons, for a total of 10 weeks (40 hours per group).  The course provides English speaking, reading and listening comprehension practice at a B2 level on topics relevant to political science (international relations, human rights, environment, language, work, health, etc…).

The course also helps prepare for the TAL-B2 Reading and Listening (Lettura e Ascolto) and the TAL-B2 Speaking (Orale) computer-based tests held at the CLA, Centro linguistico di Ateneo (the University language center).  TAL B2 general test session dates are published on the CLA website.

Classes are held in person at the Political Science Department  in via del Santo.

Weekly office hour ("ricevimento") is on Wednesday  from 10:30 to 111:15 at via del Santo 77, 2nd floor, rm 2012 starting October 7 2026.

This course prepares for the TAL B2 L&A (reading and listening) and the TAL B2 Oral (speaking) computer-based tests held by the University Language Centre (CLA). Lessons provide English reading and listening comprehension in addition to speaking practice at a B2 level through topics relevant to political science (international relations, human rights, environment, immigration, etc…).

At the end of the 40 hour course consisting of  2 weekly classroom  meetings, attendees may take the TALB2 computerized oral exam offered by the CLA as an option in addition to the ordinary sessions. There is no class assessment. Course materials will be uploaded on this page ahead of classtime.
